BEAVER COVE, ME, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Cynthia “Cyndi” Marcotte is a woman with many missions that all relate to her positive and compassionate nature. After nearly 35 years in nursing, she has spent much of her career helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult and uncertain moments. Over time, she became increasingly interested in the questions that come after the immediate crisis—questions about identity, purpose, values, change, and what comes next. While working as an Oncology Nurse she came to realize how people’s lives were totally blown over by a cancer diagnosis, yet they still needed help getting from point A to point B, setting goals, and finding both the physical and emotional strength to do it all. She has a gift for being fully present with her patients, listening deeply to both what was spoken and what remained unspoken. Today, she takes an integrative approach, drawing on her life coaching expertise, Ayurvedic knowledge, and Reiki practice to support each client’s individual needs and preferences. When people feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, she helps them cultivate practices to fix that, and to nurture vitality.
Cyndi is the founder of Spruce and Stone Life Coaching, LLC, a practice she established in 2025. It was named after the rural landscape where she lives in the north woods of Maine. Up there, vegetation surprisingly sprouts on boulders and stately spruce trees survive despite the harshest winter storms. It’s almost a metaphor for people living with health and life challenges; a sign of how we can bloom where we’re planted and cope with any curve ball thrown at us. While the formal coaching business is recent, she has been using some of these strategies as a leader and guide for patients and other clinical professionals for decades.
As a coach, Cyndi helps people utilize a variety of tools. These tools are founded using the Wayfinder approach which was created by Martha Beck. It is an approach that involves listening deeply, asking powerful questions, and supporting the client as they tap into their own inner wisdom, figure things out, and create the way forward.
Cyndi underwent Wayfinder training and is now a Certified Wayfinder Life Coach, a mark of excellence in the field. One of the many tools she utilizes is the Metaphor Tool. The Metaphor Tool helps clients approach painful, overwhelming, or emotionally charged experiences with greater safety and distance. The coach may ask, “If this situation were an animal, place, or object, what would it be?” Viewing an issue metaphorically allows the client to explore it from a different perspective without becoming emotionally flooded. The coach supports the client in investigating the metaphor’s sensory qualities, purpose, and messages. Questions such as “Why is this metaphor here?” or “What does it want you to know?” can help uncover deeper insight and understanding.
Her role is to create a safe space for people to discover what is true for them. Through the Wayfinder approach, she and the client become curious about what is working, what isn’t working, what feels aligned, and what might be keeping someone stuck. They explore values, beliefs, patterns, strengths, and possibilities—and then identify small, meaningful steps forward. She works with individuals navigating things like career changes, burnout, life transitions, personal growth, and questions related to purpose and fulfillment.
Cyndi distinguishes her practice by offering every prospective client a complimentary discovery call and tailoring each coaching engagement to the individual’s needs, preferences, and lifestyle. She believes we all carry thoughts and fears that, over time, become stories shaping how we see ourselves and the world around us. Through life coaching, clients have the opportunity to examine these beliefs, challenge the narratives that no longer serve them, and discover new possibilities for growth. When clients are open to change, they can begin to release old, painful stories, embrace new perspectives, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who they truly are.
Cyndi reminds us that we were not meant to simply survive, but to thrive. She can help people find the way back to who they were meant to be. With her support, we can navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, courage, awareness and self-trust.
