On National Tradesmen Day, ten tradesmen are recognized for work their customers never forgot

MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SupplyHouse today named the ten winners of The Day Savers, a national contest that asked Americans to share the story of a tradesman who made a difference when it mattered most. The ten winners will collectively receive $100,000 in prize money, with each recipient awarded $10,000 and a place on the 2026 Day Savers Crew.

These winners were nominated by homeowners, neighbors, building managers, and customers who submitted short videos about tradesmen who saved the day, like the plumber who took the midnight call, the HVAC tech who got the AC back on, and the electrician who showed up on a holiday.

Music icon Tim McGraw served as the national voice of the campaign. McGraw, whose nephew works in the trades, appeared in campaign creative and helped introduce the contest to a national audience ahead of the September 9 nomination deadline.

National Tradesmen Day, observed annually on the third Friday in September, recognizes the skilled workers who build and maintain our homes, businesses, and infrastructure.
